If Violet was a superhero, that's who she would be.

It's been awhile!
We've been out and about these past few days so I haven't had much of a chance to upload the pictures from the camera. But I've taken them everyday!

I laid her under this toy and turned around and before I knew it she had turned over and flipped herself the other direction. How I do not know......

She wouldn't let me get a good picture. She was smiling before this, I promise. This is one of my favorite shirts.

Some days just aren't pretty.
Violet developed a rash about three weeks ago shortly after eating a jar of sweet potatoes. So naturally we stopped feeding her sweet potatoes. Since then the rash has come and gone almost daily. Usually you can't see it but about once a day we notice it flares up like this for about an hour then goes away again. I am at a loss for what causes this. She gets it on days she gets jar food and days she does not. Days she gets a bath along with the days she does not. From the laundry with her detergent and from laundry with no detergent. I just don't get it. So here is a picture. Please. Any ideas? It looks like this for about an hour then just disappears until the next flare up.

We don't do snow.
While the rest of the country is digging themselves out of multiple feet of snow, we enjoyed our nearly 70 degree day at the park. I know what you are asking, Molly why do you torture us so? Simple. In about 4 months it's going to be so hot here we won't be able to leave our house in fear of melting, gloating about days like today is the only way I'll be able to get through days like that.

Cheap or thrifty, you decide.
Violet started out this 6lbs 14oz 21inch tiny little thing. At 4 months she weighed in at 17lbs 27inches. She has gone up a size a month since she was born. Right now she is comfortable in 9month clothes, with a few 12 month outfits starting to fit. These are her 6 month jammies. I always leave out her jammies because it just seems like a waste to wear them for a month when they fit except for that darn 2 or 3 inches at the bottom. So I just never buy footie jammies and let her wear them for an extra month or so. Sure, she does sport a scruffy look in them, but I don't think she minds.....

And we're rolling.
Last night Violet finally rolled from back to belly. She has been about 90% there for the last week but she had a hard time flipping her extra large head the rest of the way. I was so excited when she finally did it......for about a minute. She now repeatedly flips herself, gets stuck, and cries. I gotta flip her like a pancake every 5 minutes. Not fun at 4 am. Not fun.

Apparently we do not like surprises.
Violet has become increasingly difficult to get pictures of. She no longer cares for the camera and refuses to look at it. She's all smiles until the camera comes up then as quick at the click of the button she looks away not to look back until the camera is at a safe distance. I have resorted to the sneak attack by hiding the camera until I'm ready and then popping it up real fast and clicking a picture. Sometimes a little too fast. Suprise! This photo was immediately followed by tears.

Out and about.
Another busy morning for us. Today we had baby gym followed by playdate at the park. Violet seems to enjoy baby gym and even more so enjoys showing off her new skills by flinging herself off the couch at high rates of speed now. Today we tried the swings at the park for the first time. Overall, I think we have a winner there.
